Introducing the Laramie Shirt!
The Laramie is a versatile woven top for juniors in sizes 6 – 16.
The Laramie comes with a ton of options so your tween or teen can have a closet full of different looks all from the same pattern.
Options include a standard button down shirt, like this cute checked version, a tunic length, or a dress length with an optional self-tie belt.
Choose between a full button placket with traditional shirt collar and stand or a half button placket with a shaped neckband. (Check out the listing for all views and line drawings).
Sleeves can be made long with a tower placket or 3/4 length with a button tab.
You can customize your Laramie by turning the back yoke, front plackets, pockets, and cuffs on the bias for a nice accent. This black and white plaid version uses the shirt length front and tunic length back to create a trendy hi-low hem.
The Laramie can be used for everything from an every day chambray shirt to a cozy winter flannel. Dress it up with a pretty sateen or floral print, or keep it casual and wear it unbuttoned over a graphic tee. The endless possibilities will make this pattern a real workhorse in your stash.
Be sure to check out the listing for more pictures, line drawings, measurement charts, and fabric requirements. And for a limited time you can grab the pattern on sale for only $8! No code necessary, sale ends Sunday, October 30th at midnight mst.
If you make a Laramie, I’d love to see! Make sure you tag it on social media with #LaramieShirt and #HeyJunePatterns or upload a picture to the Hey June Facebook Group!
Happy sewing!
I love this so much!! Congrats!! What is a “tower placket?”
Thanks Emily! A tower placket is the traditional placket on the long sleeve of a button down shirt. It has the pointed top that gives it the name “tower”.
But this is so nice, Adriana! Loving the tween releases! The buffalo plaid tho!
Thanks! I love that fabric too 😀
